About Me
Once a war correspondent and photojournalist in the US Army, Mike Marcellino wrote poetry & songs in a bunker during mortar and rocket attacks in the Vietnam War. Two years ago he dusted off his stuff and started writing more poems and songs about people; places like West Texas, Bondi Beach, Australia, the Mexican border, New York City, Taiwan; experiences & events. After performing solo and with Split Peace in such places as Cleveland, New York City, Tulsa and New Orleans, Mike hooked up with old friends, musicians Texino and David Dowling making music as "Mike Marcellino with Ensor" in St. Augustine, Florida. Ensor's first song, "Amelia Earhart, soft silver wings" propelled the band to No. 93 on ReverbNation's Top Folk Artists in New York City.
